Where are they now? It's been over 3 years since the last post on this site! Wow that's a long time. I had to move the site to a new server and decided to post an update since I had to fix some links.
So here's a quick update of where a few guys are and what's going on with them.

This would be me. I'm living / working in the Jackson, MS area. I actually work at the same place as mule. I've also been playing tennis lately. I recently got a Nintendo Wii and that's about all the gaming I've had time for.

A lot has happened over the past month. Many are busy with ctfdl or gr3 and we have also started to play again on ogl and twl. We recently defeated kl(b), chk and kl(r) in three 2-0 sweeps. Looking forward to SummerRegen!

We finished off our NRCTF season 6-2 last night, losing to sk in the quarter finals. They were great games all around, 0-2 cp14 and 1-5 ctf2. Good luck to sk as they move on to the semis. Our next match is Mon @ 9:30est versus NYC.

It has been forever since this site
has seen an update. Life has tied up most of us for a while. Everyone welcome uvula, hellzpyro, KillZwitch, and evolve! We are attempting to rejoin OGL as there really is no other action presently out there.
Meanwhile the site itself is under construction as I try to make all the old features and stuff we had work with the new layout.

NRCTF week 4 match finally happened tonight against KLblue. Everything went super smooth, and the match was over within an hour, including server selection and their bad connectivity. GGs KL.

This isn't so much news as it is a little bit of information. So read up!
We've actually got a couple pretty cool things here that you can make use of. The first is the forums (that'd be the third link down on the left). Most of the stuff that goes on there is in the private forums that you can't even see, but there's a public area as well for discussion of various topics. For example, if you have a complaint with someone on the Q3 server, you can register it there. Or you can post pornography. You know. Whatever.
We've also got some short (and therefore small) videos of various funny or worthy plays in Q3. They're all pretty heavily compressed in DivX, but the quality is relatively good (all the ones done by me, for instance, are a full 30fps @ 640x480). These are good primarily for watching at work a few times to get your mind off all the damn Perl coding you've been doing. These videos are in the wsc|files area.
Lastly, if you ever need to get in touch with the squirrels, the best way to do it is by sending an email to squirrel@whitesquirrel.net. This goes to all active squirrels (and some inactive squirrels as well), so there's a pretty good chance you'll get a prompt response1. If you want to reach an individual squirrel, you can email them at [membername]@whitesquirrel.net, where [membername] is becoming, afflicted, dalvian, etc. This obviously just goes to the individual squirrel. Fun!
So that's that. We're working on more stuff for the site, and while a lot of it is going to be for us, some will be for the public as well. I'd say "check back regularly" but I know it's set as your default homepage anyway. Hope everyone is having a good day at work.

WSC is always looking for some offensive firepower, especially after losing dynomite because of ****. Well, we came across north[LQ], and even though he's defense, he was too cool to pass up. He's got crazy rail skills and is definitely a worthy addition to our growing roster of defenders. Look for him and galacto to make your flag run quite a bit harder. So welcome, north, to the nest. We hope it's good for you.

Played TBLM tonight for biCTF week 6. Whatever server we were on, it was pretty shitty. We had a ping disadvantage, and I was spiking all over the place. The first map, where it was basically 3.5v4 (I was nearly ineffective) was pretty close, and we finally capped after a ~7 minute standoff at about 9 minutes into overtime.
The second map, q3wcp12, had me being subbed out for afflicted. He's used to playing with a shitty ping, and I timed the powerup very well (I think we missed one). We won 4-0.
Two matches recently. I didn't play them, so we don't have pages up yet, but once I get someone's demos, I'll take screenshots and run voodoostats on 'em. Anyway, first, we lost to sdf. They're all pretty good and we're still building up to the depth we once had. I'm sure it all went pretty smoothly 'cause sdf are pretty cool, so ggs to them.
I would like to take a moment and point out the lameness of q3wc3, aka "Heat". The map has bases that are not symmetrical, which is fine maybe on pubs or whatnot, but for matches, it's pretty lame. I'd like to use "lame" at least once more to describe it, so... having that map in a league where you can't pick what map you play is lame, and it's even more lame that we had to play it against a good clan.
Last night, we played nw for NRCTF week 2 (a bit late you might say). Again, I wasn't there for this one, 'cause GL apps are causing hard locks on my system. Anyway, we won. Again, nw has been pretty understanding of mis-scheduling and seem like pretty cool guys, so ggs.
I'll update with screenshots and voodoostats once afflicted or dalvian sends me some demos. :)

Did you know that KL has gotten better? Yeah, they snagged our former star offense, dynomite, after he left 'cause ****************. Well, we lost two close games that, honestly, we would have won had we not played so sloppily. So KL is better, but we played like poop chutes. Losing is losing though, so GGs to KL for making our record look shittier.

A while back, we had a member named bofh. He used to play for Ni and Killers, Inc. He joined us for whatever reason. Then, a month or two ago, he left, 'cause he's a fucking dickhead. Actually, I just have to assume that's why he left, 'cause he never told us. He never actually told us he was leaving either. He just kinda disappeared. We found out 'cause he was removed from our roster for Blue Inferno CTF. Apparently it's some open secret that bofh is playing for blunt force trauma as Tickle. Finally, tonight they admitted that he was playing for them. Hooray!
It just so happens that tonight we also had a match against them. To make a long story short, bft are cool, but bofh is a dickhead. And we won. It was a pretty intense match with two very close games. I find it appropriate that bofh was holding their flag during the final standoff and was the one that was killed directly preceding the flag return (which directly preceded our capping and winning the decisive game). How's it feel to lose the match for your team?
So, to the rest of bft, damn good games, gents. You are obviously some cool dudes, and with bofh, you have a pretty strong lineup. (Taking us to overtime twice, winning one of them.) And to bofh, we're glad you're gone, 'cause man were you constantly PMSing.
So, interest in Q3 is dying or something 'cause WHERE DID OUR CLAN GO? It's okay ladies, the Dave is still here and more eager than ever to be an asshole to you. We're coping with some inactivity problems that have been plaguing us for, oh, say, the last year. dynomite left 'cause ************************. bofh dropped off the face of the earth. So there go two of our best players. I'm back from almost a year of not playing but shaking off the rust has proven difficult. afflicted is busy with women and his new cable modem sucks compared to the DSL he used to have. Interest in competetive Q3 within the clan is at an all time low, and I think the only ones actually enthusiastic about it are Murf and galacto. So really, the news in this post is that hey, isn't Q3 getting boring?
I'd also like to take a minute to salute EKM, because they aren't dickheads.

We're currently working on a new site design. It really sucks right now but I promise it will get better over time.
